Caliber 400 and 401 You will remember that Oris launched Calibre 400 in October 2020. This is a powerful automatic movement with a 5-day power reserve and a 10-year warranty. The 400 movement is a proprietary manufacturing movement, which means that although it was developed entirely in-house by Chief Operating Officer Beat Fischli and his team, it is produced by a network of suppliers with the latest industrial technology. It is estimated that the precision of Caliber 400 is much more accurate than that of a chronograph (-3 to +5 seconds per day). It has a double barrel, which can store power for five days (120 hours), and a silicon escapement can offset it. Magnetic force, and a new type of pendulum developed based on a low-friction, sliding bearing system that only winds in one direction to reduce long-term wear. The first watch to benefit from this new automatic movement is the 43.5mm Aquis Date model.
