PHILADELPHIA -- The Cleveland Cavaliers entered the All-Star break as one of the hottest teams in the NBA. The time off didnt slow them down. Tyler Zeller scored a season-high 18 points and grabbed a career-best 15 rebounds, Kyrie Irving added 14 points and the Cavaliers pushed their winning streak to five games Tuesday night with a 114-85 victory over the skidding Philadelphia 76ers. Irving, selected MVP of the All-Star game Sunday with 31 points and 14 assists, played only 23 minutes in this rout. The Cavaliers won their final four games before All-Star weekend and came out of the break with the same intensity. "Give the guys in the locker room credit," Cleveland coach Mike Brown said. "Theyve done a great job. Our guys just keep fighting." Dion Waiters had 13 points before leaving with a knee injury in the second quarter. Luol Deng also scored 13 and Tristan Thompson had 12 points and 10 rebounds for the Cavaliers (21-33), on their longest winning streak since an eight-game run in March 2010. That was LeBron James final season in Cleveland. "Were playing together and were working together," said Zeller, who had his second double-double of the season and the ninth of his career. "When you play together and have success and win, it kind of takes some of the stress off." The reeling Sixers fell to 15-40 with their ninth loss in a row and eighth straight at home -- their longest skid since the 1996-97 season. Philadelphia has dropped 19 of 22 overall. C.J. Miles scored 10 points and Anthony Bennett had 10 points and 11 rebounds in a balanced effort for Cleveland. Thaddeus Young and Michael Carter-Williams led the Sixers with 15 points each. Tony Wroten had 12 and Evan Turner scored 11. Before the game, the buzz in the Philadelphia locker room centred around Young, Turner and Spencer Hawes. All three players have been mentioned in trade talk with the deadline looming Thursday. Maybe that affected the last-place Sixers because they came out sluggish and struggled all night. Late in the third quarter, fans expressed their displeasure with boos throughout the arena. "Were all sticking together, trying to keep this locker room together," Young said. "The biggest thing is going out there and staying focused." For the Cavaliers, the news wasnt all good. Waiters hyperextended his left knee following a spectacular, one-handed dunk with 54.1 seconds remaining before halftime. He stayed down on the court for several minutes before walking to the locker room on his own. Brown didnt have an immediate update on Waiters following the game and believed he would be examined further. Waiters never returned, but the Cavaliers didnt need him the rest of the way. They built a 64-43 lead at halftime and extended it to 85-62 after the third. Even with such a large cushion, Cleveland stayed sharp and outscored the Sixers 8-4 to open a 93-66 advantage slightly more than 2 minutes into the fourth. Philadelphia didnt pose a serious threat the rest of the night. "There were effort problems," Sixers coach Brett Brown said. "You cant hide from that." NOTES: Carter-Williams had five turnovers and no assists in the first half. He finished with seven turnovers and one assist. ... Kevin Grow joined the Sixers on Monday with a ceremonial two-day contract. Grow, who has Down syndrome, played his final two varsity basketball games for Bensalem High School and scored 14 points, including a buzzer-beater to win a game. Grow took part in pregame activities with the 76ers and received a jersey. ... Cavaliers C Anderson Varejao missed the game with a sore back. Colin Miller Jersey . Watching them over the past year - and in some cases, two years - has given us a starting point for this seasons Craigs List. Jonathan Marchessault Jersey . Early in the first period, Stuart pinched in from the blue line, hit Nash and was assessed a minor penalty for elbowing. Nash remained in the game for the rest of the first period, but did not return for the second. http://www.officialgoldenknightspro.com/...knights-jersey/. Now Arizonas new manager is hoping Yasmany Tomas can have the same effect on the Diamondbacks. Alex Tuch Jersey . -- The Atlanta Braves are facing the possibility of losing another pitcher for the season after general manager Frank Wren said Saturday that Cory Gearrin has a serious injury to his right elbow. Deryk Engelland Jersey . LeBron James believes hes a major reason for their early failures.GREEN BAY, Wis. - Aaron Rodgers didnt practice Wednesday because of a lingering left calf injury. The quarterback left no doubt about his plans for Sunday when the Green Bay Packers host the Dallas Cowboys. No, Im going Sunday, Rodgers said. Just a matter of how.Missing practice was part of the plan for Rodgers, who has dealt with the injury for about three weeks. While the Packers practiced inside the frigid Hutson Center training facility, Rodgers stayed exclusively in the training room for treatment. He hopes that occasional acupuncture will also help, along with the valuable rest that the Packers received for earning a bye for the opening round of the playoffs. Its possible Rodgers could also wear a wrap to further protect his lower left leg. There is progress, though its never enough for Aaron, coach Mike McCarthy said. But I think the training staff feels good about it and we feel confident in the direction were going.Rodgers at less than 100 per cent health is still better than most other quarterbacks. Two weeks ago against Detroit, Rodgers had to be carted to the locker room after aggravating the calf injury. He limped back on to the field in the middle of the third quarter, throwing for one score and tumbling in from 1 yard for another to help lead the Packers to victory and a fourth straight NFC North crown.Rodgers is such a stickler for preparation that no one in the locker room doubts the teams leader can play well without practice. We would definitely love to be able to have that preparation, but health is the most important thing for him at this time. Youve got to trust the system, receiver Randall Cobb said. The injury, though, has limited Rodgers mobility the last two weeks, which in turn has affected his trademark ability to extend plays. That mobility has bailed out the Packers in potentially troublesome situations time and again in Rodgers seven years as starter. The rest of the Packers have promised they will help pick up any slack. In the passing game, that means an offensivve line that has been playing well might need to hold blocks longer to protect Rodgers in what would have otherwise been a scrambling situation.ddddddddddddReceivers who must be prepared in order to earn Rodgers trust and targets must be even sharper on the field.Just making sure youre creating more separation and just doing everything you can to make sure youre running your route as well as possible, make it less (stressful for) him, rookie wideout Davante Adams said.Rodgers didnt roll out much the last two games after getting hurt. The Packers lined him up in shotgun formations much of the time, even on running plays. Rodgers still displayed his typically accurate arm in making quick-strike tosses on slants and other short routes. In the win against Tampa Bay, Rodgers used no-look passes to try to take advantage when the defence was in zone coverage.Look at the No. 3 receiver and throw it to No. 2. Did that a few times against Tampa, and the reaction from the defender is always fun, Rodgers said. Its just a matter of manipulating defenders with your eye control. And even with the sore calf, dont forget that Rodgers still called for a quarterback sneak against Detroit that led to a 1-yard score.Well you never know when hes going to extend. He may be limited with mobility right now, but you look at last week, or the week before in Detroit, he still moved around, Cobb said. We stress week in and week out, regardless whats going on back at quarterback (to be able) to create separation at the line of scrimmage and get open on your routes.NOTES: DT Josh Boyd (knee) and TE Brandon Bostick (illness) also missed practice. CB Davon House (shoulder) was limited, along with OL Josh Sitton for a lingering toe injury. ... McCarthy kept the doors open at the indoor practice field to let in the arctic air. You didnt like it? he joked to a reporter. It was 22 degrees inside, so thats about what were looking for at game time.___AP NFL website: www.pro32.ap.org and http://twitter.com/AP_NFL ' ' '
